Boston, MA – Wednesday, May 30, 2018 — Jenzabar®, Inc., higher education’s trusted software and services advisor, has announced Founder Ling Chai Maginn as company President and Chief Executive Officer. Ling spoke to an audience of over 1,450 Jenzabar clients and prospects today at the 2018 Jenzabar Annual Meeting (JAM).
“My mission is to empower billions of people through the belief that all lives are worthy and capable of greatness and are blessed with masterpieces within,” said Ling Chai Maginn, President and CEO of Jenzabar. “Jenzabar has been an innovative force in higher education for 20 years now. Our goal is to empower and transform higher education for all to achieve greatness personally, at home, at work, and in the world – and we’re just getting started.”
Ling founded Jenzabar in 1998 with an audacious goal to better humanity through higher education. She designed and developed the first cloud-based student centric learning management system and assembled great talent to revolutionize the industry.
Ling has great plans for Jenzabar to transform the company into a leader in global education. Under her leadership, Jenzabar’s refocused mission is to build and invest in innovative technologies and services that will carve the Masterpiece Pathway for all to achieve greatness.
An avid human rights champion and steadfast proponent of social entrepreneurship, Ling has received two Nobel Peace Prize nominations for her leadership in the 1989 Tiananmen Square movement that inspired the domino collapse of communist regimes around the world. Her memoir, A Heart for Freedom, chronicles her remarkable journey through those events. Following these accomplishments, ‘Glamour’ named Ling among its Women of the Year in 1990. In 2010, she founded the non-profit organization All Girls Allowed, which is still active today.
“Today we are at the dawn of a global education renaissance,” said Ling Chai Maginn. “The industry is calling for change. Jenzabar hopes to lead that change, to lift billions out of poverty and injustice through technology empowered global education.”
