The New England Red Sox Service Scholarship is presented by Jenzabar and honors academically-talented public high school seniors from New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut who have demonstrated a commitment to community service.
Each year, the Red Sox Foundation selects high school seniors as winners of their state’s Red Sox Service Scholarship and honors them with a $1,000 college scholarship, provided by Jenzabar. This year, the program will recognize 170 seniors in special pregame ceremonies in Fenway Park.
“Jenzabar gives grants to students who are trying to make a real difference in the world, and that’s exactly what the Red Sox are doing,” said Maginn. “I tend to think of it like a World Series sweep. We see four wins coming from this. One is for the students themselves. Then there are the recipients of what the students are doing. We also see their schools as beneficiaries. And of course, the Red Sox and ourselves get to bask in the glory. So, that’s a clean sweep!”
Jenzabar’s commitment to higher education goes far beyond our technology. Serving higher education is our calling. Participating in the New England Red Sox Service Scholarship program is a small way that we can reward young people for serving others while reaching for their dreams.
